Rebecca Philippe (Beck)

Rebecca Philippe (Beck) is the founder and Director of Freedom Community Support, established in 2020 to provide support coordination to people on NDIS Plans.
She has over 25 years experience working with vulnerable people, starting out in a psychosocial rehabilitation facility where she spent 6 years supporting people with dual diagnoses while studying in mental health, alcohol and other drugs and addiction studies.

This lead to Beck working with clients undertaking Drug Court orders where she worked her way up to managing the service before funding was cut.

Beck then spent a few years as a trainer and assessor in mental health, AOD and counselling qualifications, before gaining a position in the CREST program. Her passion for forensic clients shone through her work as a support worker, then team leader, providing 3 months post release support to people leaving prison in south-east QLD.

It was during this time Beck noticed that her clients with a disability (psychosocial and physical) needed more robust support on their release than they were getting from CREST. This lead to her working as a Forensic Support Coordinator and assisting people in custody with obtaining an NDIS Plan to include more intensive support once they left jail.

Since starting Freedom Community Support Beck has successfully supported both forensic and non-forensic participants to navigate the NDIS and build capacity to break the cycle and live their best lives.

Freedom Community Support is about empowering people to break free of the stigma and chains that hold them back and be the best version of themselves. Beck is living proof that this is possible and walks beside her participants with passion, vigour and empathy.

OUR TESTIMONIALS

What Our Clients Say About Us

“Without Becks support I would be stuck in the revolving door of jail”

Since 1997 I haven’t spent more than 3 months out of jail but, with Beck’s help, I have now been out for nearly 2 years and I continue to move forward working towards my goals

“Beck made me feel very safe”

I mentioned the other day that I've never had any trouble talking to you about any issues I've had, and that is 100% true. But also the way you have reacted when I've brought stuff up has genuinely become the standard that I've been comparing other people's reactions to. You always listen to me, and you acknowledge that it's something I do find really difficult. You've always made me feel very safe, and it's something I appreciate a lot 🙂
